-----The Story-----
The cascades, 1922. The ways of the old west are all but dead, however Fanny Fennec and her gang, the Pack, still hold onto them. That all might end though as Fanny returns home after a long week on the trail only to find the Pack have been kidnapped, leaving Ferris as the only one to evade capture. Armed with nothing but a derringer, Fanny ventures out to defeat the rival gangs and rescue her own. Based on the hit animated show of the same name.

This demo contains area #3 of 8, the underground mines and takes about 25 minutes to complete. The game is a work in progress. I Would really love feedback as I work to make this game the best it can be. Eventually the game will have the following:
8 amazing and unique area
6 varied weapons and 3 ammo types
FPS shooting gallery and gambling mini-games
tons of collectibles.
Full color graphics.
In addition the game will possibly be available physically for Game Boy Color and there is now a remote possibility that I can port it to the NES. Currently it is set to monochrome Game Boy colors. Development is taking longer than I thought, so this is just going to be a slow steady project that might take a while, but i wanted to get feedback on it as early as I could. Comments and bug reports greatly appreciated.

Pretty fun game! Really felt like an old school game from the GB / nes era. Movement was pretty solid, kind of. Did notice some jumps where annoying to make and felt like i should have made others but at least i didn't find any death pits so not the worse. The biggest complain i have is swimming. Prior to finding the rebreather it was great. The sluggish movement worked well with managing your air and finding the safe pockets to restore it. Then you get the rebreather and that danger of running out. So you are just slowly moving and floating downward to get around. It just made swimming boring afterwards and dreading any parts with it. Not cause of the danger but how boring it was. I think adding some kind of movement speed once you get the rebreather might help that part out. overall though i did enjoy what i played.
Glad to hear you liked the swimming bit, i wasn't sure how it would go over. I do agree that it gets boring once you get the rebreather. The thinking was that it's a bit out of the way and the player might not find it. I'm wondering though if instead I should just make it so that the rebreather doubles your breath timer, thus it's easier but there's still risk.
