Fanny Fennec Issue #1

Fanny Fennec, the foul and felonious frauline from Busty Bunny the Bounty Babe finds herself starring in her very own comic. She leads the fanny pack, a group of outlaws roaming the west, making trouble and taking names. A cross between 1950s contemporary westerns and prohibition organized crime, all wrapped up in a authentic golden age aesthetic. 

In this premier issue, Fran Fennec is making a supply run for the pack, when she gets ambushed by a gang of coyote highwaymen! Will she and Fanny be able to track down the shipment and teach the coyotes a lesson or are they biting off more than they can chew? Find out inside!

BEHIND THE SCENES
This comic was completed in a span of 3 weeks, which I somehow did while also holding down a full time job. I've always struggled with comics as it's such a big commitment,  until I discovered something. Golden age comics (1930s to 1950s) only used 64 colors. I work best with these types of restrictions, and it made coloring easy (I can color 1 page an hour this way.) By using this pallet, adding color halftone, and shifting the colors over a few pixels to create a bleed, I was able to create a convincing golden age comic. Slap an old paper texture over it to simulate age and voila! I'm especially proud of the cover too.

The comic will be published quarterly. While I could do it monthly I have so many other projects that i think for now it will stay quarterly. In 1969 comics went from 12 to 15 cents, which is $1.25 today. Thus the price. If comics cost that today instead of $4 I could actually afford to buy them. I learned a lot doing this and can't wait to see what issue two brings. Enjoy
